Wild-Eyed in Battle

I was struck by the realism in this reenactment of a Civil War battle, as can be seen by the expression of the Rebel soldier pictured center. The 300+ participants were very practiced in their roles, and the battles were rather chilling. The haze is from their rifle fire, and got very thick as the battle wore on.
