I have had this plumeria for a decade probably and this is only the second time it has ever bloomed. This year it has about twice as many blossoms as the last time which was several years ago.
it grows in your state? you must have really hot climate around there. i used to play with these flowers when i was a little girl and would get in trouble with my mother because the sap from the leaves and flowers creates a permanent stain on your clothes!
A beauty! It doesn't want to spoil you and bloom every year! When it's once in a while you appreciate it more ;) That's my theory at least! Love the waterdrops on the petals.
@eudora@maggiemae@barbtatum@deb60@espyetta@summerfield@vstap@tunia@kwiksilver@madamelucy@claireuk@luvmynynix@darsphotos@lesip Thank you all my dear friends for your thoughtful comments. thanks too for the FAV Vikki, Laurie, Darlene and Leslie! It does have a very distinctive scent and I think the thickness of the petals is what attracts me most to it! the water drops from the rain the night before are what motivated me to take the shot. I got in on a trip to Hawaii many years ago and have managed to keep it alive by putting it in a pot and bringing it inside during the winter. It loves the hot humid summers of Alabama though! I guess I do appreciate the blooms more because of their infrequency!
