A Good Head On Her Shoulders

As we drove from the airport to the orphanage this was quite a common sight. I even saw one women carrying a huge bundle of kindling wood on her head!
Thanks to all who are following my African adventure. I will try to post as often as possible and comment on your albums but it may only be a short one since those babies will be keeping me quite busy!
Its a strong neck too that is so important - they must start when they are children! Got to catch up with what you are doing!

a slice of everyday life. it's amazing that once upon a time, scenes like this one was part of my life and now i live a life that's far removed from where i began. must go back. very nice shot, my dear. i can only imagine how much you're enjoying this trip. take care.
