After breakfast everyone puts on their shoes and goes for a walk in the neighborhood! It is quite a vision to see so many babies going for a walk! It is quite an experience to hear them chattering in Swahili and English! Walking with them are my daughter and sister who are both responsible for me being here.
@maggiemae@eudora@birdy@janiskay@lesip It isa blessing to have family here and it does make it easier. We are really enjoying the privilege so very much! Thanks, Leslie I can't either. Not through our church but because of my sister who wanted someone to go with her.
Look at all those sweet little faces! I would have my camera in their faces!! So tell us more about this trip - how you got involved and what you are doing down there.
@bill_fe@barbtatum@timewalker thanks for all you kind words. We did travel together leaving from Atlanta. My sister heard about Neema House from my daughter who posted on FB some of the babies pictures. Her church was sponsoring them at bible school. My sister fell in love with the babies and asked me to go with her to volunteer. My daughter heard we were going and asked if she could go too. That is the somewhat short version.
oh, how awful to grow up without your own family. on the other hand, they're getting genuine love and caring from you and your sister and daughter. what a noble undertaking! my hat's off to you, girlfriend!
@summerfield@kwiksilver@olivetreeann they are precious and there are some advantages to growing with such a large "family". We are all receiving far more than we are giving!
@grammyn What happens to them after they are three if only there till the age of three? At least they have a good start in life. Glad you were able to take this trip. Sure makes one appreciate what we have and appreciate those who do this work.
