i see these guys all the time and they're always being attacked by smaller birds. perhaps to make them go away so they don't prey on the little hatchlings! nice capture, girlfriend!

They do look beautiful in flight but not so much up close and personal and i was thrilled to catch two of them fairly close together! there were about five of them circling at the time!
