Always Behind the Scene

While I was waiting for the doc to appear I took advantage of being the only one in the room to get this front view of what I usually see only from the other side. Thanks goodness for automatic focus because dilated eyes don't do that so well.

Isn't this a complicated device dad? ♥
...Is this better...or is this better? I've never really looked at this side before!

Cool idea to capture the front!

Neat shot! I never thought to take my camera to the eye doctor.

so cool:)

You were daring to do this - he could have come in at any moment! Did you get a picture of your lens - that is eye lens?
September 2nd, 2016
so cool.
September 2nd, 2016
Very cool Katy I too would never have thought to take a camera
September 2nd, 2016
That's cool! And admirable that you took the shot with eye drops in!
September 2nd, 2016
Can't believe you did this with dilated eyes. I had a cataract operation a couple of months ago, so I know those eye drops so well (stings). I never knew light could be so painful. Great capture. Well done!

A very familiar looking machine

A? or B? Or not much difference!
September 2nd, 2016
Thanks for sharing this "full frontal" view. And yes, @cottiac , I always feel such stress when asked those questions... like this is a test and I'm going to give the wrong answer!
September 3rd, 2016
@marilyn Totally - and actually there isn't usually much difference for me...! Which seems to frustrate my optometrist!

This is a great shot, Katy. I never thought to take a photo at my eye Dr either. Hope your eyes are doing ok. Do not like being dilated and pass unless totally necessary. FAV

This is really interesting! I must remember to take a look at "the other side" next time I go for a checkup.
September 4th, 2016
hmmmm...all these medical devices make me want to go for a check-up. "wait, doc, can i just take a photo before you fling that inside my mouth?" :-)
September 4th, 2016
@summerfield Or, "wait doc, can I just snap a quick shot before you stick that inside my...?"
September 4th, 2016
@mikegifford exactlyand that is whyt I took the photo
@linnypinny I'm glad you think so Lin Thanks
@eudora Thanks Diane. You should be taking it everywhere you go! ;~}
@joemuli So glad you like it Thanks!
@maggiemae I like to walk on the wild side! I did not get my own lens. That would have been very cool
@bill_fe Glad you like it Bill Thanks bunches
@dawnee Next time you go think about it! ;~} Thanks Dawnee
@olivetreeann Thanks Ann. The camera made it easy
@daisyditch Thanks Daisy. My cataract surgery was 2 years ago but I know what you mean about the drops. My camera did most of the work for this shot.
@bkbinthecity Thanks bunches
@cottiac the latter is usually what I see with the same results as you and @marilyn I get that same stress too
@darsphotos Thanks bunches Darlene.Maybe next time you will but I agree with you about the dilation, not my favorite thing
@kwiksilver Glad to have given you some inspiration! Thanks
@summerfield Wait until you are healthy to go and @marilyn...Seriously?! ;~}

@grammyn Well, that could go many places... I am having an upper GI this week so it will be going in my throat, and there's the earwax cleaning procedure I frequently have where they put a crazy sucking device in my ear, and next week I'm going to an ENT to have some lesions removed from inside my lips and it could be a "burner" or a scalpel... and maybe some sort of device to prop my mouth open.
September 5th, 2016
@marilyn LOL! OK I give!
September 5th, 2016
Haha I can just see you moving (or stumbling) around the device to get a good shot. Love see all its dails and glass.
September 14th, 2016
haha - I can just picture the doctor catching you in mid shot - well I'm just taking a picture of your equipment. This is very nice and oh so sneaky
September 16th, 2016
@cjphoto I was moving pretty well for an old lady Chris! Thank you very much! ;~}

@myhrhelper thanks Kathy I knew I had plenty of time before he got in there. I always have to wait.
