I always get a little nervous when they're brown and have the spikey fuzz on them. I know this is not a Gypsy Moth but the coloring makes me think it's not a good one! It is, however, a good shot!
i'm with francoise. i think it is one of those thingies that when you touch, you'll just have hives all over you. i know those kinds, climbing the ylang-ylang tree when i was young taught me that. and look at it, it looks like it has eyes that are looking at you. i'd have grabbed the insect spray tout de suite if it was me! :-P great macro though.
