Not an especially good photo or even good embroidery but I wanted to try something quick to show you. I am making a quilted alphabet for a pre-school teacher. Here you see the lowercase g,h,i, and j. I still have to stitch out the uppercase letters. I will remove these and cut them out before I load new fabric in the hoop for the uppercase letters. The hardest part is deciding the pattern of the fabric to use and getting it hooped. I am almost halfway done but keep putting this off for more pressing projects.
Silly me: i zoomed in and i was wondering what do you mean 'gi hi'??? :)
Katy, i would surely love to see some of your projects, every now and then... like this alphabet, when it is done. I love sewing, but since the paints i sort of put that aside. But i think every now and then about sewing. My mom and my bestie keep saying: if you wish, sew. And i reply: but what should i do with what i sew. And they say: nothing. Just sew for your pleasure.
And they are soooo right.
@homeschoolmom Thank you @dutchothotmailcom I appreciate that Esther @eudora I started a long time ago when I had more time! @summerfield LOL! Sorry?! @randystreat they will be free standing manipulatives. I really should do several sets so they can use them to spell with but I don't think that is going to happen considering how long it is taking me to get this first set done! @madamelucy Thanks Terri I am trying to use up my scraps and I can't tell you how old this particular piece is! @shutterbug49 Thank you Debbie. I hope so. Thank you too for all you recent communications about Ann♥ @Dawn thank you Dawn. It may be a while because I have put other things ahead of it! @ludwigsdiana I am so glad you think so Diana. I will show you but it will be a while because I am in no hurry to finish! @johnfalconer I am really pleased that you think so John and even happier that you took the time to say it. @louannwarren Aww Lou Ann how nice of you! You are the sweetest! @linnypinny Gee, thanks Lin! That is really very nice of you!
@monikozi how funny that you think of sewing like I think of painting. I go in spurts with all my different interests. So I excel with neither one but enjoy the creative process with both of them.
