You might think that you’re dreaming when one of these animals appears amidst the tussocks. Albino wallabies are both rare and beautiful. And, if you travel to Tasmania (the most southern island State of Australia) you may just be lucky enough to see one. I saw these at the Zoo.

Not all their joeys will be born albino but those that are will be suseptible to poor eye-sight & sunburn. These animals survival in wild is virtually zero,. Predators easily pick them out of a group. In the wild, an Albino is much less likely to find a mate & have offspring. The male uses his coloration to attract a female, lacking this coloration albino males cannot compete.In captivity, albino animals fare better.
