Aloe Vera ~

This lovely patch was surrounded by dry & dusty soil, but, flowered on beautifully.

It's so awesome to see this aloe vera patch blooming so bountifully! I have only had aloe vera grown in pots and from what I've read in gardening books, most container-grown aloe will never get big enough to bloom. I think I'll try to find some outdoor gardens with large areas of aloe vera similar to this...I would love to see the beautiful flowers in person. :-)

@gaylewood Thanks Gayle, it was so dry & all around was withering in the heat, & as you can see here even the succulent plant was dull but, the flowers continued to bloom...my small plant in the garden has never flowered. This was taken at the Zoo where they have many areas like this..A very hardy plant.
