Glossy Ibis ~ by happysnaps

Glossy Ibis ~

The glossy ibis is a wading bird in the ibis family Threskiornithidae & is the smallest Ibis in Australia.. The scientific name derives from Ancient Greek plegados and Latin, falcis, both meaning "sickle" and referring to the distinctive shape of the bill. At Australia Zoo.
Very intense light, but the colours of the bird are lovely and rich.
