Our fridge has been dying a slow death for awhile now. Over the weekend, it took another turn and now everything in the freezer is only half frozen. Wheeeee! We did manage to get out and buy a new one yesterday, but it won't be delivered until Friday. So until then, I've been trying to get creative with the half frozen mysteries I've been uncovering. I don't know if this happens to other people's freezers, but mine seems to be filled with mystery items that I'm sure I had a great plan for at the time - lord knows what they are now though... I don't even remember buying most of it - or when. So instead of dumping it all in a fear of the unknown, I've decided to work on my marinating skills. Multiple variations for multiple weird meats. Worth a try, right?! (No, I do not say this with overwhelming confidence.) But we shall see. If my project seems to end abruptly in the next few days, you all will know how it turned out.... ;-)
Chili is an amazing technique to hide just about anything. If we don't hear from you in a day or two, do you have an emergency number we can call for you?
Haha! I loved your account of your freezer (though sorry your refrigerator died.) Since I'm catching up with your project, I see that you survived the experiments. . . .
