Light Makes Right

I feel like I am having a complicated relationship with the sunlight these days. Either there is not enough of it - like when I wake up in the morning in the dark gloom. Or there is too much of it - like on my ride home when the solar glare is trying to singe my retinas.... Is there a happy medium? I'd like to find it - like these leaves obviously have. :-)
