Dinner party for 8 tonight, to celebrate my son's 21st birthday has meant most of the day spent in the kitchen. As I went to the butchers this morning, our local park was full of the army style keep fit classes that have become all the rage over the last couple of years. Returning however, it made me smile to see that the scene was one I could identify with a little more closely. Saturday morning football with parents dutifully paying attention, or not, on the side-lines. It is a few years since I was one of them.
