Our climb up Moel Famau was not without its difficulties. Dad suffers from back problems and in his own eccentric manner decided to rest regularly along the way either in prostrate position, or cat stretch position. It was a popular route, and such was his appearance that I spent considerable time trying to prevent passers by from attempting to call an ambulance or offer first aid.
Obviously it would be wrong to show some of the more ridiculous captures I took along the way, so here is a portion of puddle alongside which Dad took one of his 'rests'.
On the descent, Dad decided to run (he is 84 years old) and ended up flat on his face again but he perfected a soft landing and showed no evidence of bruising the next day.
No processing on this - other than flipping the reflection - just because.
Omg! What a saga with your dad! I love this shot. Looks very artistic, considering you were contending with a rebellious pensioner! I'm surprised you could concentrate on your photography with your dad up to his antics! Bless him!
Oh, my goodness! Once again, your narrative has me laughing out loud, Helen. Your Dad sounds quite remarkable, indeed! Very interesting shot and as Jane commented, quite artistic. But then of course, that's you...quite artistic! :-)
You dad sounds a bit of a character and good on him for tackling the challenge and resting as he pleases… lucky you were there to fend off the good doers!
@shylaine3304@pasttheirprime Thanks for the comments. I saw the unusual quality of the puddle brought about by the light and immediately wanted to photograph it. It never appeared to be hiding anything sinister, but I guess I can see what you mean about the possibility of a hand coming out!
Great flipped reflection.
Very nice shot!
