Spare Buttons by helenhall

Spare Buttons

I thought I would fit one more button photograph in before the challenge closes. I didn't really have enough light to get a good image with my camera but I like the composition and feel of this.

I'm getting a bit bogged down in medical matters and work deadlines but doing my best to keep going. Apologies to those with whom I have failed to communicate of late - all a bit hit and miss.
Nice clean base for these buttons - and good positioning of the light!

You're one of the most regular and constructive communicators I have... 😊 I love the way you challenge yourself and encourage others! Another great photo, with interesting lighting, in response to a challenge.

I really like the composition in this Helen. Especially the empty, dark space. I might need to pinch this idea for one of those dark, wet nights that are fast approaching! 💐

I love the fact that it is low key. The light is where it needs to be and I love the reflections. Fav!

Good one, Helen. Fav

I love the way light hits the buttons and the soft reflection.

I can't make more entries; in hospital with pulmonary embolism and pneumonia. :(

I thought they were small chocolates ( I'm craving chocolate)

@maggiemae Thank you Maggie. The light positioned itself ;)
@helenacharles Helen I am touched by your comments. Thank you so much
@wag864 happy to share ideas - and w need as many as we can get when the daylight fails to be present when we have our spare time.
@moonmtn thank you Kahsia. I have learned so much terminology this year - not even phased by high key/low key references any more! (I have just realised that I always spell your name wrong - sorry) @ethelperry thank you Ethel. Much appreciated.
@mariapachon thank you - because you are too busy with your own ideas. keep it up!
@gaylewood How kind of you Gayle. Any creativity is just a cover up for my lack of technical skills!
@kwind thank you - most kind
@shylaine3304 thank you Erika. Much appreciated.
@evalieutionspics How kind of you to make such a lovely comment - especially in your circumstances. Your situation sounds serious - I do hope you are on the mend very quickly and look forward to welcoming you back again soon. Very best wishes to you.
@onewing Thank you Babs - your comment much appreciated.
@365projectorgjenfurj Chocolate buttons would have been a great idea for the challenge. if they had been chocolate they would not have hung around for long. Hope you got some.
@brett101 Thank you - I much appreciate your visit and comment

excellent use of light; rather nice looking buttons. i myself have a lot, whenever i have to discard a garment with buttons, i remove the buttons first. practice i got from my mother years ago.
October 19th, 2016
@summerfield I used to do that too. I think I have been lax of late. Or maybe I haven't discarded any garments other than to charity shops. Then it would be a bit mean to cut off the buttons. Thanks for your comment.

@helenhall - no, if i give the clothes to charity i leave the buttons alone. yes, that would be mean if they're cut off. :-)

Beautiful light actually Helen, that's what I think. I thought it was chocolate at first (I'm not the first one). Some of us have chocolate on the brain apparently :)

@kerosene thankyou. I think what I meant was that I need a higher shutter speed for a sharp focus on the buttons.
