Returning to the site of the dancing poppies today, the wear and tear after a weekend of poppy partying was evident. Heads were nodding towards each other, as if to catch the after party gossip, and just a few revellers, way past their best, were hanging on, looking bedraggled, dishevelled, still dressed in their now crumpled and inappropriately bright party attire. The floor was strewn with discarded garments and party debris.
The head of the family stood with authority and a touch of desperation (can you see his face?), "Come on now", he says, "the party is over. We all need to tidy up, and get back to work".
Most fitting for a Sunday evening posting, I thought.
Great narrative, almost as good as the image, which is brilliant.. you've got us all seeing the face - amazing how the mind can be fooled.. great shot Helen..
@olivetreeann he definitely has a look about him I agree. Probably the amount of clearing up was worrying him. @jorlam you're right, it is a shame really as I cant see the poppy head without the silly face now. @lovingandsharing you got it. There is always a price to be paid! @ziggy77 thanks Jo @kwind I am glad you can see the image for what it is, rather than the ridiculous tale I put to it. @adayinmallacoota The way the seeds sit at the top was a surprise to me. never looked at through the lens before. @moonmtn thank you Kahsia - they are attractive I agree @pdulis much appreciate it Peter @taffy it was fun creating the story @pyrrhula thank you kindly @helenm2016 yes - and I didn't even notice the seeds on the verge of falling until after I had the picture on the screen @suzanne234 how kind of you to say so Suzanne @shylaine3304 thank you so much Erika @flowerfairyann yes Ann, they took me by surprise when I saw them.
