I have no idea where these boots are going to take me, but I will be putting them on and stepping forward through 2018.
The new me will focus, and the new me will step out into unchartered territory. And what better to do this with than my first ever airwair? I can't remember a time when I didn't fancy being the owner of a pair of Doc Martins.

I will be using 52 week challenge as a week theme, so I will be posting seven images relating to the week theme (and category) set by Dogwood. Last year I saw several people posting one a week. I guess it's what works best for you.

great focus in your composition Helen and seems like your focus on the year ahead is spot on too. I had some purple Doc Martins once. They were wonderful.

I cant begin to imagine how I would get myself into the desired positions and situations whilst simultaneously counting down the seconds. Do I need more kit? @taffy I'm quickly running out of options for footware - my latest orthotics leave little room for foot inside a standard shoe. Looks like DMs are the answer. @dide thank you Dianne @gaylewood it is all talk. But at least that is a start. @graemestevens I desire greatly, such comfort. Sadly my orthotics allow little access to the infamous air cushioning @stimuloog thank you very much. Doc Martins are known for their iconic yellow stitching around a black boot. Definitely statement footwear. They were originally made in Northampton UK which is just a county away from here in Bedfordshire. @cruiser maybe it is time for another pair? @helenhall - nope. for fovysing, i put a dummy, anything that stays put, then click on self shutter, run and throw dummy aside and pose. helps if you have a big mirror, which i don't have so you can at least determine how you set yourself up. bonus if you have a second body to check your framing and press the shutter or better yet get a remote shutter. if you set up you camera to desired settings and let someone press the shutter, it is still a self portrait.
