The howling wind pushed me along this morning as I stepped out in my new DMs in search of a new beginning - unfortunately, the push was not always in accord with my desired direction.
Instead of new beginnings, I looked up, to be confronted with the beautiful big moon, a reminder of the fading night. I turned around to admire the new light of the day, rising forth in magnificent orange. And I reflected upon how in looking ahead, our vision is informed by what we see when we look behind. The past, the future and the present each being interpreted by their influences on one another.
And so, my image for today was born. The bright full moon ahead, the emerging sun behind, together, creating a moment of vision, for week one of the 52 week challenge.
And then, I went to work and looked straight into the computer screen for many hours.
you created a really beautiful dreamy image, helen. and in our photographic journey, it always happens. the direction is changed and most often the results are great shots like this one. aces!
The old and the new - I saw the pale moon peeping from behind clouds and that rich, orange sun trying to burst through this morning. I love your interpretation of it here Helen. It is dreamlike, especially seeing in both directions in one picture. Fav.
So many lovely comments and Favs - what a great encouragement. Thank you all so much - both old friends and new. Apologies for the group reply which at times, is a necessity.
