Last night I noticed that these bananas were desperately trying to escape their skins, and thought they were past being useful for anything other than baking. Which is a shame, since there is no room for baking on my agenda this weekend.
And then I remembered the black and white food challenge and thought to give it a go. Of course time passes by so quickly when I get my camera out - perhaps I could have made that banana loaf after all.
Posting first thing today as I'm off to Oxford on a re-union jaunt and don't expect too much by way of photo opportunity, much less editing or commenting opportunity. Wishing you all a very lovely weekend.
to quote a recipe 'If you freeze a banana until solid, then whiz it up in a blender or food processor, it gets creamy and a little gooey, just like custard ice cream. '
love the spots and the little frilly bits at the end. Hope you found time to make a banana loaf. I have a great recipe made with oil and you just throw it all in together
I just love this photo and it looks super on black. fav.
If the bananas were here and past their use by I would feed the possum family with them. As the weather is getting cooler it is more difficult for the possums and other wildlife to find plenty of food, so they would really enjoy a banana.
outstanding image and so striking on black. wonderful focus and you have turned over-ripe bananas into a thing of beauty. you might want to tag for eye of the beholder?
Well, you've certainly received some wonderful suggestions on what to do with your "fit to burst" bananas. Great idea for the black and white food challenge!
