Black Eyed Susan by helenhall

Black Eyed Susan

I'm back filling with this flower shot which I took this morning since I have nothing to post from Sunday's activities.

Sunday:
In a continuation from Saturday's business, we had another play to attend, and a BBQ on the brown patch that used to be a garden. Then people to deliver to the station to disperse to their opposite ends of the UK.

The play was an extremely poignant piece about living with alzheimers, and not for the faint hearted.

Today: (27th)

Neither was the temperature for the faint hearted as I walked to the fishmongers and the bread shop, pausing on the way to capture this drought tolerant perennial that is fairing better than most in our heatwave.

If I had thought it would have turned out anywhere near as decent a shot as it did, I would have paused longer to find a better composition, but I was already having to cut out the trip to the butcher in order to get to my yoga class on time!
Super close up

Beautiful shot and I love the juxtaposition of the two flowers at different stages.
