Obscurants with Pineapple

Only desperation for something gives rise to this kind of shot - and the lurking memory of a challenge somewhere relating to obscuring the subject.

Rather gloomily, having been lacking in inspiration for some time, I grabbed the nearest objects in the kitchen, determined to make a shot of them.

I see the technique challenge of obstructed view closed yesterday - probably just as well as this might have been an insult considering there was no technique involved.

Don't worry. I'm not expecting a rush of enthusiasm. Just trying to get the creative juices working again.
You've given the pineapple an elegant hiding place!

the lighting is perfect, the set up is unique, the composition is aces! too bad, it would've been a #winner!!!!

Shame the challenge has closed, it would have been a worthy entrant:)

I agree with the above comments and particularly like the curvy framing.

It makes an interesting shot. I'm with you on the lacking inspiration, and I'm probably just relying on challenges to try and spark it.

Interesting textures. I am in a bit of a slump at the moment, mainly because I am not getting much time to take photos. Too busy with other things.

I like the opposite textures - the curved frame vs the spikes textures of the pineapple-

A first I thought it was an unusually shaped pineapple! Good to see it got the PP!

Ah, I saw this on PP and noted the curving lines....now I see it's yours. Luscious lines around the fruit.

Wonderful contrast of just about every kind between the pineapple and obscurants.

Great shot. It really focuses on the colours and textures.
