Crocci by helenhall

Crocci

I have an excess of black and white to take me to the end of the month, so excuse me if I post backdates whilst I get on with the busyness of the week.

It felt appropriate to use black and white for this shot from yesterday because by increasing the contrast in a way that wouldn't look right in colour, I have been able to take out the busyness of the background leaving you the uncluttered flowers to enjoy. I used the water paper filter in photoshop to bring out just a touch of the wistfulness that I detected (or perhaps imagined) in the composition.
Lovely processing and very effective.
