Apologies for the philosophical ramblings that this choice of post has created:
It is all too easy for things to become a blur - the key to being at peace is to know what is the important thing in the frame and to keep that in focus.
The important things may change, from minute to minute, from day to day, from week to week, but they must be identified and then embraced, whether they are mundane or spectacular, and be appreciated for what they are.
A little lesson from photography that applies to life always - but seems particularly significant at this time when so much less of our life is scripted.
I love your glimpses and ramblings, it's good for the soul. I love this shot and dof. I have the same camera and checked your exif, I have 6.3 and not 6.4. I seldom use the camera and have very little experience with it. Could you please tell me which mode you used here, I would really appreciate it.
@ludwigsdiana Thank yo for your lovely comment. I almost exclusively use the camera in manual with spot mode focussing. Any effects that I manage to achieve are due to good fortune, persistence and nature's lighting. If it gets too technical, I run away!
lovely to get a sense of her surroundings both in front of and behind her. identifying and focussing on the important things sounds very wise - have definitely needed that today :(
