I meant to post this on Christmas eve, in fact, i thought I had.
However, whilst Christmas has been and gone for many, it is only just beginning for our family. We have had our youngest in isolation with asymptomatic covid but with the new rule he is allowed out today
. As long as we are all still testing negative.
So for us, it is Christmas day today.
For my friends here, i hope you have had a wonderful Christmas and I thank you for sticking with me throughout my sporadic posting and poor engagement on this wonderful site through 2021.
This is a composite of 3 images. The background is a snowy scene in Bedford early on in the year. I dont remember the origin of the bokeh layer although i think it was christmas lights.
The dove is a wall mural taken in Bethlehem. A Banksy. I'm wishing peace to my Christian friends in Bethlehem, the birth place of Jesus and praying for the miracle of peace and reconciliation throughout the holy land.
Wonderful to look at this with your description. Its unique and so beautiful! Hope your son doesn't give that nasty virus to anybody. And that he gets through it without any ill effects! the new rule sounds weird!
Such a beautiful shot and a beautiful sentiment to go with it. Hope your belated Christmas was wonderful!
Happy New Year from our house to yours, Helen! May your 2022 be happy, healthy and prosperous!
Thank you, Helen, for your good wishes! I wish you and your beloved ones all the best! I hope your son's well now?!
This mural... how devastating but hopeful at the same time: the bird of peace is still flying! What a world... Every day is a new day and worth living! Carpe diem was and is my motto. Take care💋
Helen Jane, where are you? We miss you here at 365. I hope everything is fine and you are just posting on so many sites that you don’t have time for 365 anymore😂. You left us on the 26th of December with wishes of peace and now another war is going on. Be well and if you happen to read this message in a bottle let us know how are you! Happy springtime!
hi, helen. where have you gone to? don't you like us anymore? i miss you and by the looks of it, others, too! i hope you are well. i'd be happy to hear from you. and soon! take care, my friend.
@caterina thank you so much for inquiring. Sadly I have not been posting much at all. Lovely to get your message when I checked in the other day, thinking, wondering, if I might ever make it back to post. I'm not taking many photographs at the moment, and the ones I do take seem to me to be pretty terrible. All sorts of reasons but I'm doing OK. I hope you are too. One day - when this mad season is over - I really do hope to be back!
@summerfield Oh dear - I hope no offence is taken by my absence. I simply couldn't keep up and got diverted onto other things and lost my mojo big time. I miss the interactions but I need to revive my photography and clear a lot of distractions in life before I can start posting again. I really hope to be back - and the sooner the better! Wishing you well - catch up soon.
@helenhall nice hearing from you, and glad you are well. Funny how this site creates ties with people we have never met in person but about whom we think we know something and feel affection for. Best wishes for everything in your life
I agree with Caterina! I think of you often and always hope and pray that you are doing well. Sometimes I find myself posting fairly regularly, and sometimes other things tend to take over; but in busy times, I enjoy at least checking in. I miss your beautiful photographs and words but certainly understand your absence. Hopefully, we can reconnect here sometime; and in the meantime, please know that you are thought of fondly!
