East End

I traveled to London to stay overnight with my Cousin who has lived all of her adult life in the East End of London where our father's grew up.

It was a hot and sweaty day and I emerged from the stifling tube at Mile End into the bright harsh sunlight whereupon I immediately sought shade to walk in. Me, dressed in shorts and a t shirt, almost overwhelmed by the heat of the day and ahead, these four girls chatting happily as they walked along completely unfazed by the oppressive heat despite their attire. That's youth for you!

I can't say why but I was cheered to see them. They were walking past the girls school where my cousin taught for some years.

The youth can definitely tolerate the heat more than we do. These girls may even be more protected from the beating sun than us being half naked lol...Great shot of girl being together and out for fun!

I am amazed at what some people can wear on a sweltering day- although I have heard it said that black attire tends to be very effective in keeping one cool. I don't feel like testing that out! Great street shot! (If there's a street shot challenge going on right now, you should tag this!)

it would've been great if there was a couple of girls, too, coming from the other direction and they were wearing almost nothing. it's what i hope to capture one of these days when walking around the city. great shot, aces!
