Here is something I created whilst travelling up North (as a car passenger) just before Christmas. I had been inspired by a talk from an artist and another from a photographer, both using multiple exposures to produce their images. By combining phone snapshots through the car window and textures from within the car, I came up with at least three impressions on a winter journey that I like - using the snapshot app on my phone. It was fun and effortless and helped to pass the time on the long journey.
Contrast that with my attempt to recreate something similar on my mirror-less camera yesterday. They say practice makes perfect and I clearly need a lot more practice in understanding how the different blend modes work on the in-camera multiple exposure feature. All have been deleted. But I shall persevere - as the artistic use of photography is emerging as something I really want to pursue this year.
