I checked up on the offspring yesterday morning and there were still nine. All nine were securely hidden under the belly of their parent until a chap came along and approached them with his bike in order to force them out so he could see them.
I then witnessed a 15 minute struggle as they manoeuvred themselves back in place. I thought that was quite mean but it was fascinating to watch them.
