This sculpture is over the road from work and I have just not known how to photograph it until I saw this effect a few weeks ago. I waited until the right conditions came along again so that the cabbage trees were shadowed onto it and love the conversion to black and white.
@bruni thanks, that was what caught my eye as well, only happens when the sun is at a certain point! I had to wait for a sunny day and the right time which was a bit later now that we are going into winter :-)
