Back home from Virginia, with a picture of the siding coming in to the main track in Richland, NJ. What I am trying here is superimposing one photo on top of another to give more depth to the scene, the settings on the camera is the dsame for both photos with manual focus. The bottom one is slightly out of focus and I used an opacity of 60%

Beautiful RR tracks photo! What you did does sound a bit like HDR, You take 3 photo of different exposure and then layer them together, I haven't done it yet...still researching it myself, but I have already chosen my subject....:-)
