Cincinnati Library by hjbenson

Cincinnati Library

The Cincinnati Library is known for having the 1848 panoramic landscape - Fontayne-Porter Daguerreotype - of Cincinnati on display. http://foundation.cincinnatilibrary.org/waystosupport/souvenirs/panorama The resolution is unbelievable, it is sharp down to the molecular level. To match it your camera would have to be 140,000 megapixels. Best Viewed Large.

For my other photos of today http://365project.org/hjbenson/others/2012-05-12

@webfoot Thank you Paul, they protect the daguerreotype by argon gas so you can't get a real sharp photo of it
@kerristephens Thank you Kerri, they used a stereo microscope and at 30x magnification they did not see any pixelation
@marilyn Thank you Marilyn, I had driven through Cincinnati before, but this is the first time we stayed and I am glad we did
