Today was the funeral for Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon. Tonight's Blue Moon is a fitting tribute - the next Blue Moon will be in July 2015.
Retired educator - taught mathematics in high school, went back to graduate school, worked in research labs, and finally went back and taught computer science...
I saw this photo and ran over to the window to see the blue moon, but we only have clouds. :-( Thanks for sharing your blue moon---nice tribute to Armstrong.
@kerristephens Thank you Kerri, nice clear sky for a change @5unflow3r Thank you Trina, I had been taking the moon the last several days in case of clouds @mstipe Thank you Michelle, I remember watching both Niel Armstrong and Buzz Aldren the day they did it. @orangecrush Thank you Jerry, I hope it is clear by you.
@mstipe Michelle, they are showing it on various tv stations over the weekend @naomi Thank you Naomi, it was a very clear night without much humidity @tooki Thank you Tooki, he was special and always a gentleman @denisedaly Thank you Denise, one we all looked up to
A lovely image and a thoughtful tribute to the great man. I was just a teenager when the first landing took place. Events in those early days seem to have a greater influence than more recent ones (Sign of age?).
@julieco Thank you Julie, Gail and I were newly weds and we watched it on our new colour tv. Thank you for the challenge, it will be fun to come up with ideas for it.
