Our great-grandfather moved to Alden Township, Polk County, Wisconsin in 1885 buying 40 acres next to his in-laws - Mikael & Karen Johnson. Here he started the first blacksmith shop in Polk County. Gail & I visited here 25 years ago, but this is the first time for my brother, David
Retired educator - taught mathematics in high school, went back to graduate school, worked in research labs, and finally went back and taught computer science...
