We went and visited my Aunt (and Godmother) in Virginia. Her daughter told us that her mother was correct when she had told them eons ago - "Don't run in the house or you will get hurt." It seems my Aunt heard noises from the washer and started down to correct it but she fell on the way and broke her wrist. It is recovering nicely.
Retired educator - taught mathematics in high school, went back to graduate school, worked in research labs, and finally went back and taught computer science...
