The doorbell rang a little after 8:00 AM. I went down and answered the door and I saw this family. 35 years ago this past June, Tae Jong - living across the street - was graduating from Buena High School. His parents had to be out of town on the day he graduated and Gail and I were honored to act as surrogate parents for the graduation. In July,. Gail & I went to California for working on my doctorate and we had not seen Tae Jong since. Seeing him and his family was a great way to start the day.
Retired educator - taught mathematics in high school, went back to graduate school, worked in research labs, and finally went back and taught computer science...
