PET Pellets! by homeschoolmom

PET Pellets!

I "borrowed" this creative idea from Carol W (@sturnus) for today's Jan. word - pet. These are the PET pellets used to make plastic water bottles and plastic grocery bags. Another one of my husband's strange Army souvenirs. Ironically, my sister is a chemist at one of the factories that make these pellets.

Nice capture!

Like Joan, I learn things I'd never even thought about! Is PET an acronym for something?

@taffy Polyethylene terephthalate. I looked it up. I'm just used to hearing it called PET or PETE.

@combatdoc He did a tour of the water bottling plant, not sure if it was at Balad or Victory in Iraq, before they shut down operations and they gave him this.
@digitalrn Yes, he does. He has seen and done some very unusual things in his career with the Army! LOL!
