Thank goodness I found my old dusty fan last night. Only thing keeping the air circulating in the house, as the air conditioner died while we were at dinner last night. Unfortunately, the repair man can't come until tomorrow afternoon, and it's going to be 95 degrees F today. Fun! Can't go any where because my hubby's truck transmission died Sunday morning on the way to church, so he took my van to work. We are stuck at home! Was going to start school today, but it's too hot. It's going to be a very expensive week!
We don't really do air con in our houses in the UK....never used to be required, but if these hot summers continue........ hope you are all fixed soon :0
@amandal Thanks. Sadly, it worked well all weekend while we worked out in the heat! @ceilidh We worked outside in the heat all weekend building a metal shed. We were exhausted every night. It's definitely taking it's toll on us. @pixiemac We didn't have AC when we were in Germany either. The weather never got that hot, and thankfully not that cold either. We are at the height of our summer heat right now, unfortunately. That's usually how it works though. Your AC never goes out on a comfortable day!
Oh no, not a good time for the air conditioner to break. Great collage. The water company is turning the water off on our street tomorrow for about 8 hours to work on the pipes. No fun there, either. I hope your air conditioner will be fixed soon.

@mittens Oh, no. Anytime they turn off a utility, it's not good. Hope it only takes 8 hours.
