A windshield view of history! by homeschoolmom

A windshield view of history!

Had to take my daughter to Chapel Hill an hour away for an appointment with her oral surgeon. Rained all the way there and back. Drove through Pittsboro and saw this old historic building from before the American Revolution. Literally taken out my windshield (hence the blue strip across the top, which I couldn't see since my GPS ap was open) as we were stopped in traffic.
Beautiful building. Reminds me of so many towns in Georgia.

Wonderful capture. You wouldn't know except the blue that it was through the windshield.

The old and the new.

@danette We aren't that far from GA!
@joansmor The picture originally had my windshield wipers and some rain along the edges, but I cropped them out. Couldn't crop out that stupid blue strip though.
@randystreat Yes. I like to see the old and new together. This building is dated 1770.

About the only thing I think you could have done to combat the blue streak is either to replace the sky to a blue one, or use one of those graded color tints over the picture. Was this a court house?

A wonderful shot from the car, love the clock at the top.

I like the way the cars are placed in this picture, however accidental that might have been. They are really the bane (I mean, the challenge) of taking pictures of buildings.

You were visiting my old stomping grounds! I loved in Chapel Hill for about 10 years before moving here where I am now. I've driven that circle around that building!
