In a few months, these cotton pods will break open and they will harvest the cotton crop in late November.
See my picture of the cotton plants in bloom that I posted yesterday. http://365project.org/homeschoolmom/365/2015-08-18
@sdutoit You're welcome. I have never seen that either. But, we are surrounded by cotton and tobacco, so it's easy for me to stop by and document it occasionally. @calm The flowers are pink, too, like a primrose. @jgpittenger Thanks!
So interesting to see cotton in the bud stage. We used to have lots of tobacco in Southern Ontario, but less now. We definitely do not have cotton! Lots of corn;) I like when people document the "everyday" in their community.
Hi Lisa, I have been following you for a bit. I love your capture. This week I am your Get-Pushed partner. You challenge, if you are willing and able is to capture anything of your choosing as an abstract using any method.
This is great Lisa. I love the markings and the way the bud is hugged by the rest of the plant. Thanks for your comment on my sister's (@kelly2)'s garden. It has been 14 years in the making and originally when they moved it was a grassy hill! They opened it this year to raise funds for the church and raised over £450.

@sangwann When they open they look like big cotton flowers. They are quite beautiful. I'll be posting pictures of that, but it won't be until October. Here's a pic I took last year: http://365project.org/homeschoolmom/365/2014-10-03
