Endor Furnace by homeschoolmom

Endor Furnace

For 18 months, I've been hearing about the Endor Furnace. This furnace, located along the Deep River, was used to smelt iron during the Civil War and again right after. It's crumbling, so the historic association is restoring it...for the last 5 years. We walked out there Saturday, only to get within sight and see a no trespassing sign. But, we were able to get within 50 feet of it for pictures. I didn't realize it was still being repaired, as their website really doesn't say that much about it.
Very interesting shot, Lisa.

Always good to hear when sites like this grab the attention of the community

@mittens @randystreat @digitalrn Hopefully, the repairs will be completed this summer so we can see it before we move again, because that could happen next year.
