While they were putting new tires on my daughter's car, I went for a walk because it was looking like it was going to rain. I decided to walk up to downtown, pretty much uphill the entire way. I started just over the hill from the furthest point of Wicker Street that you can see. I walked a block past this and across to Carthage Street, down another block, and across Steel Street back to Wicker and back down that hill. Half way down the hill, the sun came out and it got really hot. It was about 1.5 miles round trip, or about 5000 steps according to my pedometer.
@wendyfrost It's a Monday afternoon and it's a small town! LOL! Usually there are more cars parked along this road, but the bakery that sells donuts is closed on Mondays.
@taffy This end is, but the area further down the hill isn't. In spite being a small, rural town, it has the highest crime rate of any place we have lived.
