Making repairs

Working on the second quilt that my grandmother made for my sister. This one is quite a complicated pattern. It's got hexagons, but they are made from squares. I've never seen anything like it before. And my grandmother sewed this whole quilt by hand. I googled it, it's a bowtie octagon pattern.
How cool is that? Looks like you're using your awesome new Bernina, lucky gal!
As your Get Pushed partner this week, how about trying an architectural abstract for something challenging? Google "architectural abstract photograph images" for an idea of what I'm talking about. Good luck and have fun!! :-)

What a significant project- not only are you repairing the quilt but you are preserving some of your family history too!
