I liked this lionfish in black and white better than color, because the blue background kept giving it a blue hue. I also tried it in high key and low key, but it turned out best in a fairly high contrast black and white.
I like the black and white but if you have a processing program you can do a step called remove color cast which might have corrected the issue. I have used it on several pictures.

These are amazing fish and it works well in b&w. We were so excited the first time we glimpsed one of these in the wild, in Kenya, then we went to Egypt and saw hundreds of them.
