New Hampshire's White Mountains used to boast this two Indian head formations and the Old Man of the Mountain head. But harsh winters have taken their toll and only this Indian Head remains. My son thought it looks like an Indian head wearing a porcupine, but it's supposed to look like he's wearing a headdress. We climbed 100 feet up a tower in Lincoln, NH, to get a good view of the only remaining head formation.
@kwind Thanks! @joansmor Really. I took pictures of it from the main road. We paid 50 cents to climb the tower for a better view, but that was the cheapest we did all week.
@homeschoolmom Ah, that was it my mother had asthma and the tower would have been too much. I get old and forget. Just remember I always wished we would stop when I was a kid. And my fear of heights holds me back as an adult.
@joansmor My husband and 14-year-old son have a fear of heights. They both climbed the tower, but they weren't happy up there. We were up there about 30 seconds when my husband said, "You ready to head back down?" LOL!
