This morning we headed home for Thanksgiving. The trip between NC and WV is 250 miles of mostly rural back roads, which is why it takes 7 hours to drive. But, it's a beautiful drive with fabulous scenery. Here's some of my favorite shots from today. Thankfully, I wasn't driving, so I was able to take lots of pictures. Also glad we were not as confused as the GPS. At one point, we were on a new stretch of road and it thought we were off-roading through a river! LOL! These pictures are all from Virginia and West Virginia. For the last day of One Night Stand 9 - urban/rural (I did see some urban today, but was not inspired to take pictures of it). Odd thing about taking pictures from a van going 65 miles per hour....many of my pictures were very crooked! LOL!
Beautiful countryside. Nice collection to show us your trip. We drove down to Kentucky one year with our Canadian relatives when visiting, and got lost. We saw lots of really lovely back country roads around this area.
@dide@pamknowler@joansmor@lynnilou@digitalrn@aponi Thanks! @francoise This is actually the closest we have lived to them. When we lived in IL it was 12 hours (16 hours when the kids were little), 9 hours from IN and 10 from NH. When we arrived, it was still daylight. My son couldn't believe it! LOL!
