Ready for winter, I think! by homeschoolmom

Ready for winter, I think!

Having moved to the South over the summer from New England, I think it's quite funny that people have been wearing winter coats and gloves since early December. I finally put on my coat and gloves the other day when the temperatures dove well below freezing. Now with an ice storm pending Tuesday night, I'm watching everyone panic. Ha! Now I know why the native New Englanders got such a kick out of me freezing last fall, wearing my winter coat in September. But, in my defense, it was colder there in September, than it is here in January. For the Jan. 12 word of the day: Gloves!
I like your composition. I think it gets colder in the South, or at least feels that way with the dampness. I had clients who moved here (S. Florida) from Canada and Vermont. The January we closed on their house was very cold for our area and the cold had lasted. They had only been here a year and she was freezing!

You will adapt! Good thing you have these warm gloves. You can double glove if you get too cold.

@danette I have a friend that says the same thing. She said NC is colder than CO, because of the humidity. NH had the humidity and the extreme cold, so this is not bad for us.
@lynnilou Thanks!
@randystreat Hahaha! My boys are complaining that it's too warm! It literally feels like September in New Hampshire. Our coldest day so far, is warmer than the warmest day we had all of last January in NH (the temp hovered around 0 most of the month).
