I'm fairly certain this is some sort of junko. There were several of them in my yard this morning. It's the first time I've seen any little birds here. These are all shots of the same bird.
Yup, these are Juncos. We have them all winter. They recently left here to go north for their summer. This looks like a male Eastern Junco. My daughter used to say they look like little gray birds that sat in white paint.
