My phone has been driving me crazy for the past two days because the weather ap keeps warning me of a winter storm every 10 minutes. I almost couldn't get into Wal-mart tonight and then the shelves were empty. It's crazy.
@francoise It's supposed to hit us Friday morning. Because they don't treat the roads at all here, they have closed everything, including Ft. Bragg....for an inch of snow or less.
@linnypinny We've had spring up until this week. Time for a our few days of winter now. People act like each winter is the first they have ever seen. LOL!
@dianen They didn't do that in NH when we got tons of snow. They cleaned the roads there. We were always able to get out within a few hours. Here, they do nothing to the roads at all.
I think all of us Northerners get a real kick out of the panic mode that sets in below the Mason-Dixon line when a winter storm actually brings them snow. On the other hand, I am finding more and more that people here are beginning to respond in a not so different fashion. We're not even supposed to get much of this storm and when I did the food shopping on Thursday, there were only 2 gallons of whole milk left!
