Here in NC, we have either orange clay or sand. Which means growing real "sink your toes in" grass is impossible. The stuff they call "grass" here is considered a broad leaf weed in most places. It's definitely not something you can run around barefoot in either. Took this picture of the beautiful green grass at a park in Minneapolis last weekend. It's so pretty and soft.
