I have finally cut all 6 colors of material into 2 7/8 inch strips that will be used to make the arcs of the rings in the double wedding ring quilt I'm making. I had a slight panic moment when I went to sew the strips together and realized it was only 12 inches across instead of the 14 1/2 inches it was supposed to be. Then I realized that I only had 5 of the 6 strips. The lightest blue strip somehow got under the white material that will be the background for the rings. I thought I had somehow forgot to buy a 6th shade of blue. I was about to make an emergency trip to Hobby Lobby for some material when I found it.
